The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched its new version to increase the security of mAadhar application for both Android and iOS devices.
The mAadhaar app is eligible to support 13 languages. Those are English, Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Urdu, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, and Assamese.
According to the UIDAI, users need to delete the previous version application and install the new version app immediately. Also, third-party applications are not supported by the UIDAI.
By using the mAadhaar app, users can download Aadhar card, offline eKYC, show/scan QR code, order a reprint, update address, verify Aadhaar, verify mail/email, retrieve UID/EID, request for Address Validation Letter and also check the status of various online requests.
This application provides a special feature for the residents, to lock or unlock their Aadhaar or biometric authentication.
To get personalized Aadhaar services, a user needs to register for the Aadhaar profile in the mAadhaar app. But a resident with or without Aadhaar can install the app in his/her smartphone. To use the mAadhaar app, users need to have their phone numbers registered with the UIDAI.
After the completion of the registration process, the Aadhaar card details can be downloaded on the application which stores the data, such as the name, date of birth, gender, address and photograph digitally on their mobile.
