The Telegram Messenger Update has introduced a variety of new features. Version 6.0 update brings two big enhancements including Chat experience and Channel output monitoring. This Telegram update comes out for both Android and iOS users. The company also stated that version 6.0 includes a new set of video- and voice-based emojis and animations. Telegram reports that the latest features have been rolled out to the chat screen, as users spend more time on the app.
Telegram has added a new feature to the Chat interface update that allows users to organize chats into Chat Folders. The Chat folders will enable users to pin unlimited chats. Users can create multiple chat folders that can be accessed by swiping the home screen of the Telegram app. Telegram has added that this would enable users to “segregate work-based and personal chats”.
To create a Chat tab on the Telegram, users need to click the Chats option at the bottom of the screen. Select the Edit Folder option and click on the Create New Folder option. There are also Unread and Personal options that separate unread chats and personal chats automatically.
Also, the latest Telegram version has improved the Archive Chat function in the app. Android users may archive long-pressed chats, whereas on the iOS users will simply swipe left for message archiving. The company added that the ‘muted messages’ will remain archived forever and do not appear on the main screen if a new message received. The Telegram new chat features rolled out to the Desktop app. The company said, thanks to the extra space on your computer screen, we have added a sidebar to the folder and some icons to make your files more identifiable.
Additionally, new emoji and animations added to the video and voice-based messages. In their note, the company said that the emojis specially launched to encourage and cheer its users in the tough time COVID-19 facing the world.
The Telegram has implemented a new statistics-based feature for telegram channels with over 1000 subscribers. Through this, channel managers can track the growth and success of channels based on multiple parameters like language, post views, new followers, new interactions, alerts, etc. An administrator can display an average channel output graphical representation of the data for the desired time.
To use this feature, channel admins need to select their Channel. After this, the admin required to click on the three vertical dots present on the top right corner and further select the Statistic option.
