Max Weinbach from XDA Developers is giving us new information about Samsung’s upcoming foldable phone. But, it’s not about the Galaxy Z Flip, it’s the Galaxy Fold’s true successor expected to launch in Q2 this year.
As per the reports, Weinbach says that Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 mobile will be featured with an 8-inch display, Snapdragon 865 SoC, 108-MP rear camera, ultra-thin glass, S Pen, and 5G support. He claims that the next Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to launch after Samsung’s Unpacked Event on February 11. However, this doesn’t mean it won’t be launched at the event.
If we check the Samsung’s Event Teaser video, it shows two differently shaped mold replacing the ‘A’ letter in the word Galaxy. One of the shapes is rectangular while the other is more squarish.
As per the leaks, this Samsung Galaxy new phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G support and allows to be paired with the X55 5G Modem. The most surprising feature that the Galaxy Fold 2 might include is the S Pen, which is restricted to the Galaxy Note until now.
New Samsung Galaxy Foldable Phone also rumored to sport a larger 8-inch display, compared to the 7.30-inch display in the current Galaxy Fold. It may come with a bezel-less display to fit a larger display in a similar-sized body.
Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold, the Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to come with ultra-thin glass protecting the display and a Samsung’s flagship 108MP camera sensor. For more Technology Updates of Samsung India, users can stay connected with this page.
