Nokia 9.3 PureView launch has been postponed to the second half of this year. The phone was initially expected to launch at the 2020 Mobile World Congress (MWC). But, it was delayed to sometime later in the first half as the MWC 2020 canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, a new report states that the Nokia 9.3 PureView launch will be delayed further due to supply chain issues that have emerged due to the coronavirus lockdown. There have been some speculations about the phone’s name, but the latest rumors suggest it will be named the Nokia 9.3 PureView.
According to Nokiapoweruser’s article, HMD Global still has the Nokia 9.3 PureView flagship in the pipeline but was pushed into the second half of 2020. This may be released either in the middle of the second half of 2020 or towards the end, as HMD Global does not have any confirmation. According to the study, the reason for this delay is the coronavirus outbreak which disrupted the supply chain for many industries.
Earlier reports tipped the Nokia 9.3 PureView phone powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC.
The speculation came to the name as to whether it will be named the Nokia 9.1 PureView or Nokia 9.2 PureView. However, a Phonearena study says that despite recent changes in Nokia’s naming convention for phones, such as Nokia 1.3, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 5.3, and Nokia 8.3, the new flagship will most likely be named Nokia 9.3 PureView.
The predecessor of the allegedly named Nokia 9.3 PureView is the Nokia 9 PureView which recently got a price hike due to a rise in GST in India.
